2018-2019 School Hours and Dismissal Times

Morning

7:20 We begin accepting students for the day and breakfast

7:45 Students are tardy if they are not in class by this time

**An adult MUST come into the school to sign them in late

 

Afternoon 

1:45 Pre-K and early buses

1:50 Daycare, Car riders, and Backgate walkers dismissed

1:55 Kindergarten and First Grades dismissed

2:00 Second and Third Grades dismissed

2:05 Fourth and Fifth Grades dismissed

2:10 Buses released

2018-2019 Kindergarten Registration

Navy Point Elementary is currently registering kindergarten students who will be 5 on or before September 1, 2018. This includes any out of state students. Please click on the link to begin the registration process: Online Registration

When you come to the school to finalize the registration process please bring the following items for the child:

  • Child's birth certificate
  • Child's social security card
  • Proof of residence such as an electric bill, lease agreement or rent receipt (telephone and cable bills are NOT acceptable)
  • Immunization Record (also known as the Florida Blue Card, which is provided by the Health Department or family physician)
  • Physical form completed by family physician
  • Report card from previous school (if available)

2018-2019 School Supply Lists

Free Breakfast and Lunch for NPE Students

ALL Navy Point Elementary students will continue to receive free breakfast and lunch for the 2018-2019 school year. Parents are strongly encouraged not to place funds on the student's account at the school or by using the mealpay website. If you have a child(ren) that attend other public schools in Escambia County, you will need to contact that school for information regarding the lunch status for those children. Please contact the school if you have questions at 453-7415 ext. 221.

Navy Point Family,

 

The time is quickly nearing for us to start the 2018-2019 school year. We will be dismissing earlier than normal for the first week of school. Please plan on your student arriving home approximately 20-30 minutes earlier than normal. We will begin the dismissal process at 1:15 p.m. This will allow us to ensure every student is placed on the correct bus and work out any other potential issues before we begin the normal schedule. Below you will find some reminders for the first week:

1) We have new school hours this year. Students will be received for breakfast and class at 7:20 a.m. The tardy bell will ring at 7:45 a.m. Parents are asked to walk their students inside to sign them in AFTER 7:45. There will be NO CHECKOUTS after 1:15 p.m.
Dismissal will begin at 1:45 p.m. 

 

2) Pre-K car rider students will be dismissed from the front parking lot.

 

3) K-5th grade car riders will be picked up in the back parking lot of the school. Parents should remain in their cars for afternoon car rider pick up. This will ensure that we get all students in the correct vehicles and help to reduce the safety concerns of students passing between cars. 

Please stop at the white lines to help us keep both enter ways clear (front lot). Please DO NOT block the bus drive way.

 

4) Be on the look out Monday for the beginning of year documents that will be sent home. All of the documents will be sent in a navy blue plastic folder. If this folder does not come home with your student, please contact the school at (850) 453-7415.
