Dr. Ford-Harris

My name is Monica Ford-Harris and I have served as principal at Navy Point Elementary since July 2013. I was raised in Pensacola and attended the public school system of Escambia County. I received my undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of West Florida. In December 2007, I graduated with my Doctoral Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I have been an employee with the school district since 1998. I have served in various positions such as Elementary Teacher, Middle School Dean, Elementary Curriculum Coordinator, Assist. Principal, and currently Principal. As most know, I am an avid Florida State University Football fan. GO NOLES!

I love children and my passion is to meet the needs of every student in my care. It is my vision to have Navy Point be the model school where families want to send their students, students want to come, and the community trusts us to do what is BEST for ALL students. It's a collaborative effort between families, teachers, administrators, students, and the community to help students reach their highest potential. They need the strong support systems to ensure that their dreams become reality through a great education. Through strong, positive relationships students will feel safe to make mistakes and know that those mistakes will be turned into teachable moments that will last a lifetime. I solicit your continued support of Navy Point in helping bring the vision to reality.
